Camp Cards

Turn-in nights – Units will have the oppurtunity to turn in thier cards and money in a location located within their district prior to the June 3 deadline. As we have in the past, you can also turn in your cards/money or get additional cards through your District Executive or Camp Card Chairman.

The Camp Card Fundraiser
The intent of the Camp Card sale is to allow units to raise funds to pay for their Scouting program. This includes purchasing camping equipment such as tents, backpacks, and sleeping bags, etc.  Units will decide how the funds are distributed within their unit.

The Camp Card sale also allows Scouts to raise funds to pay for their Scouting activities, such as Cub Scout day camp, Cub Scout resident camp, NYLT, Boy Scout summer camp, or a high adventure program. These programs are paid for out of the commission that is received for each card sold. Scouts do not receive camp credit in addition to the commission paid to units.

This program is completely RISK FREE because any unsold Camp Cards may be returned.

The Camp Card sale is an official, executive board-approved, Heart of Ohio Council fundraiser, so uniforms may be worn during the sale.

Camp Cards should ONLY be sold during the authorized sales period, which is from the March Kick-off to June 3. Cards sold after these dates diminish in value because the vendor offers are good for a shorter period of time.

Commission  – If your unit has returned unsold cards and paid in full by the June 3 deadline, the 2016 Camp Card Sale commission is 50% ($2.50 per card).

If your unit returns unsold cards and is paid in full after the turn-in nights, but on or before June 10, 2016, the commission DROPS to 40% ($2.00 per card).

If your unit returns unsold cards and is paid in full AFTER June 10, 2016, the commission DROPS to 25% ($1.25 per card).
